In a statement copied to MynewsGhana.net, Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability [ASEPA] has said they will hold Hon. Ken Agyapong and President Akufo-Addo responsible should anything happen to J.B Danquah-Adu’s murderer Daniel Asiedu.

According to the statement signed by the Executive Director of ASEPA Mensah Thompson, they are reliably informed by their sources in Nsawam Prisons that there exists a clear plan by some individuals to eliminate the main suspect in the J.B Danquah-Adu murder trial Daniel Asiedu.

The Group has pledged its support to ensure the safety of Daniel Asiedu as far as the murder case of JB Danquah is concerned.

Daniel Asiedu also known as Sexy Dondon made some shocking revelations in an interview with the media a few weeks ago. In the interview, the suspected murderer mentioned some big-names in the New Patriotic Party including the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Honourable Kennedy Agyapong as people who hired him to engage in the act.

The suspect told an Accra Magistrate Court that these persons told him to indict certain persons in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) instead of the NPP in the event of his arrest.

According to him, he has repented and is ready to speak the truth.

Daniel Asiedu last year – specifically June 20, 2018 – confessed in an Accra District Court that he had been contracted by the late MP’s own party members to have him killed.

According to him, his “contractors” had abandoned him since he carried out the lot and was arrested.

For him, he was making the confession as a result of repentance from his previous life.

Honourble Kennedy Agyapong however denied the allegations made against him by the suspect on the hot seat a political tv show Hosted by Kwaku Annan on NET 2 television

However,  ASEPA has warned all persons related to the issue to be on guard as they will go all out to ensure that justice prevails.

“We want to use this opportunity to warn the people behind these criminal deeds especially the Assin Central MP Kennedy Kennedy Agyapong and President Akufo Addo, that we shall hold them solely responsible if anything happens to Daniel Asiedu in prison.”

WE WILL HOLD KEN AGYAPONG AND PRESIDENT AKUFO ADDO RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO DANIEL ASIEDU IN PRISON-ASEPA

We are reliably informed by our sources in Nsawam Prisons that there exists a clear plan by some individuals to eliminate the main suspect in the J.B Danquah-Adu murder trial Daniel Asiedu.

We have been receiving continuous information for the past two weeks that ever since the viral confession of the suspect when he mentions the name of Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong and President Akufo Addo, the suspect has been transferred into a condemn cell even though he is still on remand standing trial.

We have also been informed about the severe maltreatment meted out to the suspect through physical torture and other cruel forms.

We have also been informed about an individual sent to the prisons to carry out an operation to eliminate the suspect to conceal his testimony and also truncate the case at the ICC since he would be the principal witness.

We want to use this opportunity to warn the people behind these criminal deeds especially the Assin Central MP Kennedy Kennedy Agyapong and President Akufo Addo, that we shall hold them solely responsible if anything happens to Daniel Asiedu in prison.

We have also officially informed the ICC and the Amnesty International on this new development and awaiting their quick action to protect the suspect.

We want to assure all well meaning Ghanaians that we shall do everything within our power to ensure that Daniel Asiedu gets adequate protection in the Prisons so that nothing eventual happens to him.

May we all continue to remember him in our prayers.
