‘We’re ready to support 1D1F’ – Contractors

Some players in the construction industry have expressed their readiness to support government’s One District One Factory project.

According to them, they will help in supplying tools to enable a smooth implementation of the project.

Under the One District, One Factory initiative, at least one factory is to be constructed in each of the two hundred and seventy five districts in the country.

Speaking to Citi Business News on the matter, the Director General of East and Central Africa, at Bosch, Benjy Ofori said his company is well equipped with all the relevant tools that will be needed in the construction of the factories.

“What we have done is that we have engaged the necessary authorities to be able to find out how best we can identify the various companies involved in setting up the factories that want to be part of the initiative”, he said.

He added, “So far, we have met some of these companies and have been able to offer them our products and services that will be needed to establish the factories”.

He stated that the company is ready to collaborate with government to design initial plans that will see to the implementation of the project.

“The one district, one factory project will ensure that we have the necessary tools available to every company out there that wants to set up a factory,” he said.
