Six remanded over Mankessim shooting
The Cape Coast District Court 2 presided by her honour Gloria Mensah Bonsu has remanded into police custody six suspects in connection with the Mankessim shooting.
The six were arrested on Saturday at Mankessim after a shooting incident during the enstoolment of Queen Mother, Nana Araba Otua.
Speaking to Adom News, the Central Regional PRO of the Ghana Police Service DSP Irene stated police investigations are on-going.
“The six suspects who were arrested on Saturday were arraigned before court with the case adjourned to December 19, 2020 with the suspects remanded,” she said.
Seven people were shot at Mankessim on Saturday and led to the death of a BNI official, Samuel Ampofo with Mfantseman Municipality and one civilian leaving five others injured.
