Two police officers shot dead by robbers at Kasoa
Two police officers have been shot dead by suspected armed robbers at Aplaku Kasoa in the Central region Wednesday afternoon.
The officers, with the Kasoa divisional command, were engaged in a gun battle with the suspected robbers after they gave them a chase upon a tip off.
One of the officers died on the spot after he was hit with a bullet while the other died at the Winneba government hospital, Starr News has gathered.
Meanwhile, five suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting. The vehicle they were using, an unregistered Toyota Camry has also been retrieved together with some relevant articles.
