Policeman and soldier colleague rob mobile money vendor
A mobile money vendor has been robbed of an amount of GH¢23,500 by a uniformed policeman and his accomplice soldier at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.
The victim last Wednesday at about 11:30am withdrew the amount at Fidelity Bank, Nkawkaw branch on his way to Akim Sekyere but on reaching Real Paker Hotel at Nkawkaw; three men, one in police uniform, one in military uniform and the other in mufti who were using an unregistered ash Toyota Corolla saloon car allegedly crossed him.
According to the police, the suspects bundled the victim into their car and drove him to a place near New Jejeti where they robbed him of the above-mentioned cash, unspecified MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo scratch cards, iPhone, two Techno phones and ID cards.
Police proceeded to the scene but the suspects bolted before their arrival.
The Nkawkaw police reveal that efforts are underway to get the suspects arrested.
