Odumase Krobo: Woman found dead in drain; boyfriend, one other arrested

Police in Odumase Krobo have detained two men for the death of a 21-year-old lady whose body was found half naked in a drain on Sunday morning.

Though the cause of death is not yet known, the suspects; Kwao Noah, the boyfriend of the deceased and his friend Abass Teye, both 20 years of age, were picked up by the police who received information that the suspects were the last persons seen with her.

Marks of bruises were identified on the neck of the body of 21-year-old Sandra Tetteh to which the Odumase police are suspecting foul play.

DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the arrest to Citi News said his outfit has begun investigations into the cause of death.

“On 23rd June, 2019 at 6: 40 am the complainant, Yohunu Gifty, aged 41, a petty trader at Agbom a suburb of Odumase Krobo and accompanied by Eric Tetteh-Ku came to the station and the former reported that about 5:40, she had information that her cousin named Sandra Tetteh aged about 21 was found lying dead in a gutter at Agormanor.”

“So police immediately accompanied the complainant to the scene of crime and found a lady aged about 21 lying dead… half naked and wearing only a white dress.”

“The body was carefully inspected and bruises were found on her neck to which we suspect foul play but the residents around could not give police immediate information on the incident”.

The deceased has been taken to the Atua Government Hospital morgue for autopsy.
