The Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Bashir Fuseini has descended heavily on the head of Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah and says the position she occupies is suffering a huge credibility problems.

The comment follows the recent arrest of the National Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.

According to him, COP Addo-Danquah has demonstrated credibility deficit and unprofessionalism in the discharge of her duties and how she has managed cases of national interest.

“Madam Tiwaa, who is presiding over this case, is suffering a huge credibility deficit and if you do that no one takes you serious because they know you are biased and partisan. You are supposed to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of your duties,” he said.

Mr Fuseini further noted that if COP Addo-Danquah claims her leaked tape between her and A Plus was doctored why is she refusing to believe that Mr Ofosu-Ampofo’s leaked tape is also doctored?

“You know what happened to her in the discharge of A Plus’ tape where she spoke openly about a cover up because her party is in power. For her she said it was doctored but she is refusing to believe that the case she is investigating is also doctored.

“Have you ever seen a report of the A Plus case because they have swept it under the carpet, that is typical about this government,” he stated.

Speaking in an interview on Joy News’ AM Show, he added that officers like her are not to be put in such positions because her crass of incompetence is way too man.

“Look at the issue of the kidnapped Takoradi girls; she said they knew were the girls are and very soon they would be joining their families, how many months has it been?” he asked.

“She went on another sister station only to say she said that to give hope which was false. Officers of that caliber shouldn’t be in office anywhere near the police headquarters to give false hope. We pay her to give us false hope in a civilized country like this?” he quizzed.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Accra with a search conducted in his house as part of police investigations into kidnappings in the country.
