A 42-year-old man identified as Nyonator Sulley has been lynched by an alleged gang in Koforidua.

It is not clear the reason for the murder.

Pieces of information gathered by Starr News indicates the gang tied both hands and legs of the deceased before he was brutally assaulted to death at a food vending shop near Ghateco school around Gallaway Traffic Light.

Police investigators dispatched to the scene found the deceased lying in prone position beside a motor tricycle with a rice sack in the hand.

The investigators detected saliva dripping from the mouth with blood oozing from the right ear.

After thorough examination of the body, police investigators noticed marks of assault on his neck and legs as a result of the rope used by the suspects to tie him.

His body was conveyed to the Eastern Regional Hospital where he was confirmed dead by the Doctors. The body was subsequently deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Francis Gomado told Starr News one of the suspects have been arrested by the Adweso District Police Command to assist police in the investigation.
