PHOTOS: 5-month old aborted foetus dumped on refuse dump
Residents of at Assin Atonsu in the Assin Fosu municipality of the Central region had to deal with the horrific sight of a five-month-old foetus dumped on a refuse, Tuesday dawn.
The aborted baby was found dead with the placenta at the public refuse dump in the outskirt of the Atonsu community.
The body was found with a handkerchief with blood stains which seems to be one of the materials that aided the illegal act.
Assin Atonsu has a record of abortion cases. A similar incident happened in the same community, five months ago but with that one, the baby survived after being kept in an incubator for some days.
The perpetrators were found and arranged before court after police investigation.
Speaking to Adom News, the Chief of Assin Atonsu, Nana Kwame Obri Asamoah cautioned residents of the community especially the youths to abstain from premarital sex which usually causes issues of this nature.
