Armed robbers kill 2 security men in cold blood at Takoradi

Residents of West Tanokrom in the Effia Kwesimintsim municipality of the Western Region woke up on Sunday to the shocking news of two night security men who have been killed by persons believed to be armed robbers

Residents told Connect FM they bumped into the lifeless bodies of the victims infront of a store located off the Takoradi-Kwesimintsim Highway at dawn.

“I was passing by when I saw the bodies lying there with both their hands and legs tied so we quickly called the police”, a traumatised resident who wants to remain anonymous told Connect FM.

The residents suspect the robbers might have clubbed the security men to death because of some visible wounds all over their heads and faces.

The robbers could not however break into the targeted store where bags of rice were sold.

The Kwesimintsim police patrol team arrived around 3:30am to convey the bodies of the victims who have been identified as Rahman and sulley to a private morgue at New Amanful for autopsy

No arrest has been made.
