Government is playing games with our educational system – GNACOPS BOSS

National Executive Director for Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) Mr. Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah has said that he is totally bamboozled over the new directive given by the Minister of Education Hon Matthew Opoku Prempeh that all internal examination questions of public schools should be written on the chalk board.

He said he is troubled over why the honourable minister who has been enthusiastically preaching on the relevance of ICT in our educational system would turn round and initiate a directive which conflicts what he preaches.

Mr. Gyetuah defended as inappropriate if students are allowed to access their examination questions from the chalk board since they will not have proper records to reflect on as a preparation towards their final exams.

The GNACOPS Boss is questioning why the ministry of education should restrain public institutions from putting into print examination questions for Ghanaian students in a contemporary world, challenging that government should not blame teachers if public students are unable to rob shoulders with elite schools belonging to the private sector if they(teachers) go by the current directive.

He set the record straight that government per the current directive is toying with Ghana’s educational system and there is no way the nation’s academic system will go far if authorities fail to reconsider their decision.
