A Wildlife census will be conducted within the boundaries of the Mole Park which is mostly in the West Gonja District of the Savannah Region

The Wildlife census will be conducted by Blue skies of Namibia and funded by the European Union (EU).

A Senior Park Manager of the Mole National Park, Mr. Ali Mahama who revealed this to thepressradio.com on Monday, March 18, 2019 said the wildlife census is necessary because the Mole National Park wanted to be listed as a world heritage site but their inability to conduct a census for the past 15 years has hindered support from the European Union for the exercise.

He added that Consultants and Experts from Blue Skies of Namibia arrived in the region and have commenced survey at the Mole National Park two weeks ago to help train and equip officials of the Mole National Park with the skills that will enable them to do the work accurately.

Mr Ali indicated that helicopters that will be used for the exercise will be at the Mole National Park from Namibia today and will criss cross the Mole National Park several times in the course of the work.

Thepressradio.com wish to inform all communities surrounding the Mole National Park that this is a critical  moment for officers of the Mole park and all should take care and comply with the rules and regulations of the Park.
