NPP “contracted” me to kill J.B. Danquah-Adu – Suspect tells Court
Daniel Asiedu, the prime suspect standing trial for the murder of Abuakwa North MP J.B. Danquah-Adu, has confessed in court on Wednesday, 20 June 2018, to having been contracted by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to kill the lawmaker who was a member of the same party.
Asiedu, nicknamed “Sexy Dondon” told the District Court presided over by Her Worship Arit Nsemoh that his “contractors” told him to indict certain persons in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) instead of the NPP.
Unknown assailants stormed the MP’s Shiashie residence and killed him on 9 February 2016.
The hitmen gained access to the MP’s bedroom by climbing a ladder.
The 51-year-old MP was the grandson of Dr J.B. Danquah, who was christened the doyen of Ghanaian politics.
The late MP once served as deputy Minister of Women and Children’s Affair.
