Anas Aremeyaw Anas reveals he was at Korle-Bu when Ahmed Suale was killed

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the award-winning investigative journalist and leader of the Tiger PI, has disclosed where he was the night his colleague Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot.

Ahmed Saule was shot by some unknown assailants some weeks ago at Madina in Accra.

Ahmed was a member of the Tiger PI team that investigated that Ghana Football Association and brought to light the ills in the football association and its executives who had manned the association for several years.

The documentary titled Number 12 exposed the then President of the association, Kwesi Nyantakyi who was suspected by Ghanaians to be corrupt and using the GFA for his own gains.

Although Ahmed is dead, Anas has promised to release a story which will shake nations in the coming days in his memory.

Speaking to the Guardian, Anas Aremeyaw Anas who Ghanaians especially Kennedy Agyapong has labelled as a suspect in the murder said he was in Korle Bu when he was called and told that Ahmed has been Shot.

Anas noted that he realized that the job that they do has led his brother to his grave.

He said: “I was at the stroke unit of [Ghana’s biggest hospital] Korle-Bu, visiting a patient and talking to a doctor friend of mine when I was called and told that [Hussein-Suale] had been shot dead,” Anas told the Guardian.

“I was shocked and dismayed and I knew straight away that [Hussein-Suale] was taken because of our work”.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested six people in connection with the murder of Suale.
