BREAKING NEWS: Sunyani High Court 3 arrests NPP Chairman
Information reaching thepressradio.com indicates that, Sunyani High court 3, can confirm a dramatic arrest and release of the Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman for ruling New Patriotic Party NPP, Mr. Thomas Adu Appiah months after refusing to appear in court.
Chairman Thoma as affectionately known in the political arena was arrested by police officers at the Sunyani High Court after bailiff raised alarm of his presence at the court premises.
Ark News gathered from the court, an injunction by the Berekum West branch of the NPP last year restraining the regional executive elections was defied hence the decision by the court to slap the leader of the party in the region for contempt of court.
Mr. Thomas Adu Appiah, our information from the court says, on countless times has refused to appear in court for hearing hence his arrest. It took key members of the regional executives to seek a GHC20, 000 bail for him few hours after his arrest. The court has since ordered him to appear on the 8th of February 2019 for hearing.
