Journalist (metro fm) donates to widows @ amansie west district

A broadcast journalist who is a staff of metro fm called Omono Asamoah has donated food items worth hundreds of Ghana Cedis to widows of Manso Abodom in Amansie West District of Ashanti.

The presentation was part of his annual donations to the widows in the area as a way of showing appreciation to the creator of the universe for his protection and mercies granted him throughout the year on his field of work as a journalist.

Speaking to newsmen after the presentation, Omono Asamoah opined that it is unwise for an individual to wait till he gets enough money before giving back to the society.

“The little you have can bring hope to the poor” he noted.

The risks associated with journalism profession he said is such that without the favour of God, practitioners can’t survive. “There is therefore the need for every journalist to show appreciation for what the Lord has done for him or her by way giving to the poor.”he advised. ” “This should be our way of life” he added.

Mr.Omono Asamoah however appealed to government to set up a fund to support widows and orphans in the society as a way of transforming their lives.
