Ablekuma North rerun: Voters demand relocation of polling station from church premises

Voters at the Odorkor Presby 4 polling station in the Ablekuma North constituency are calling for the relocation of the centre outside the church premises.

According to the voters, during several past elections—including the December 7, 2024, polls—they cast their ballots in open spaces visible to the public rather than under the shelter within the church premises.

Despite explanations from election officials that the indoor location was chosen to ensure the process could continue smoothly in the event of bad weather, the voters expressed resistance.

They suggested setting up canopies outside as an alternative, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clear visibility to effectively observe the voting process.

For now, the election is proceeding inside the church building, as the Electoral Commission has yet to officially respond to the relocation request.
