AJ Auxerre agree loan deal to sign Ibrahim Osman from Brighton

French club AJ Auxerre has reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman on loan.

The deal includes an option to make the move permanent, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Osman joined Brighton in February 2024 from Danish side FC Nordsjælland in a deal reportedly worth £16 million. The 19-year-old signed a long-term contract running until 2029 after impressing in the Danish Superliga, where he scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 54 appearances.

Shortly after his move to the Premier League, Osman was loaned to Dutch giants Feyenoord to gain first-team experience. He made 22 appearances in all competitions during his time in the Eredivisie, contributing three goals and three assists.

The talented youngster will now continue his development in France, as Auxerre look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
