River guard found dead in River Amanzule

The body of the late Wisdom Kluu, a River Guard from Azulenloanu who reportedly drowned on the evening of Monday, June 23, 2025, in the River Amanzule, has been recovered washed ashore, lying deceased on the riverbank.

He has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle, Joseph Agyekum, visited Azulenloanu to offer condolences to the family of the late Mr. Wisdom Kluu following the unfortunate incident.

It will be recalled that the late Wisdom Kluu, upon closing from work on Monday, June 23, embarked on his usual hunting expedition with his dogs in the nearby bush.

Speaking to the media after the body was found at Azulenloanu, the Coordinator of Ellembelle River Guards, Stephen Afena, confirmed that Kluu had closed from work on that Monday.
