In an exciting development for Ghana’s youth, the Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations is set to host the inaugural International Business Cats Olympiad, a unique simulation game focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business management, under the Alabuga Start Programme. This Olympiad promises to equip both male and female participants aged 17 to 22 with essential skills while presenting a platform for innovative minds to showcase their talents in financial literacy and entrepreneurship. With enticing prizes such as laptops, smart tablets, and smartphones up for grabs, the event is anticipated to attract a diverse group of aspiring entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
The Business Cats Olympiad, presented by JSC “SEZ IPT Alabuga,” is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the business world through practical experience. Participants will engage in activities that include developing business transaction, negotiations, and financial management. By immersing themselves in realistic business scenarios, young participants will not only strengthen their financial acumen but also enhance their leadership capabilities.
John Aggrey, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event. “The Business Cats Olympiad represents an incredible opportunity for our youth to explore their entrepreneurial spirit and develop the necessary skills to thrive in the global marketplace,” he stated. “We believe that equipping young people with the right tools can significantly contribute to the financial literacy of the younger generations.”
Head of Business Development and Innovations, Ziona Ayorkor, emphasized the Olympiad’s potential in nurturing local talents. “By encouraging students to participate in such an innovative, digital and competitive environment, we aim to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. This event is about fostering creativity, critical thinking, and managerial skills,” Madam Ayorkor remarked.
Looking ahead, the Business Cats Olympiad is more than just a competition; it is a strategic initiative that aims to bolster entrepreneurial activity among Ghanaian youth. As the event draws near in July with a pre-simulation in June, anticipation builds not only for the prizes at stake but also for the innovative ideas and solutions that will emerge from this gathering of young minds.
