‘Drop Samini like you dropped Stonebwoy’ – Netizens call out Abeiku Santana

On May 22, 2025, Samini shared photos on his X page with Abeiku Santana and other GTA officials, captioned with the hashtags #TheHomecoming and #SafariFest.

Chancing on the post, several netizens have taken to social media to express displeasure, calling on the GTA Deputy CEO, Abeiku Santana, to cancel any collaboration with Samini.

They argued that the artiste had openly campaigned against the NDC during the 2024 general elections, hence does not merit any support now that they are in power.

Critics referenced a campaign song Samini released in support of the NPP, in which he allegedly claimed that former President John Dramani Mahama was unfit to return to office.

Some even compared the situation to the NDC’s decision to exclude Stonebwoy from the party’s “Ghana Victory Concert,” suggesting that similar action should be taken against Samini.

“Hello @AbeikuSantana, the Samini you’re entertaining once described Mahama as incompetent, lazy, and allergic to good governance, even before the elections. Drop that partnership now,” one X user posted.
