Watch as ‘angry’ Afenyo-Markin knocks police officer’s head during demo

The Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, has been captured on video in a visibly agitated state, directing his anger toward one of the police security personnel during the ongoing #SaveTheJudiciaryDemo.
In the video sighted by GhanaWeb, which is fast going viral, the reason for the MP’s rage remains unclear, and it is unknown what specifically provoked him.
However, the footage shows the lawmaker angrily addressing the officers while standing behind the barricades.
He is then seen knocking the head of the police officer in the video, escalating the confrontation.
In an attempt to de-escalate the situation, Richard Ahigbah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communications, is also seen trying to calm the MP down and prevent the incident from worsening.
The officer, on the other hand, was captured in the video remaining non-reactive, with his colleague officers seen attempting to calm him down following the incident.
The demonstration, organised by political parties and led by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the banner #SaveTheJudiciaryDemo, aims to mount a strong defense of the nation’s constitution and uphold the independence of the judiciary and to protest against the suspension of the Chief Justice, Gertrude Araba Sackey Torkornoo.
