Prophet Francis Amoako Atta explains the inspiration behind ‘Parliament Chapel International’

Founder of Parliament Chapel International, Prophet Francis Amoako Atta, has opened up about the meaning behind the unique name of his ministry.
Appearing on UTV’s ‘U Cook’ with host Empress Gifty on April 20, 2025, the prophet revealed that the church was originally known as Freedom Chapel International before undergoing a rebranding.
“Initially, it was Freedom Chapel, but it later became Parliament Chapel. Freedom always has its limits, no matter how you define it. Every freedom has an end,” he explained.
Sharing his vision behind the name change, Prophet Amoako Atta likened the church to a legislative body in God’s kingdom—where decisions are made and transformations begin.
“In the U.S., they don’t call it parliament—they call it the senate. In God’s kingdom, the church is like His senate. It’s where divine rules are set and lives are changed,” he said.
He further explained that the name Parliament Chapel reflects his desire to make the church a place of transformation and divine intervention.
“When things go wrong or there’s a crisis in the family, and you run to the house of God—things change. That’s why I named it God’s parliament, so we can change things,” he emphasized.
Prophet Amoako Atta also shared that the church is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary in October 2025. He began his ministry in 1996 and officially founded the church in 1998.
