Junior Pope’s wife shares touching tribute one year after his passing

It could be recalled that on April 10, 2024, fans and movie lovers in Nigeria and beyond were left in shock after news broke that Junior Pope died in a boat accident during a film shoot
In her first social media post since his death on April 10, 2025, Jennifer opened up about the profound impact of losing her husband and the struggles of raising their three sons, Jason, Jaden, and Jamon, without him.
“You have no idea how tough it’s been. Trying to stay strong for each other while the world around us feels shattered. The grief is still heavy, and the void you left can never be filled. But through it all, we look to heaven for strength as our guiding light,” she wrote.
Reflecting on the pain of loss, she added, “Oh death, you’ve taught us to live each day as it comes, bearing a pain that never truly fades.”
“Your love surrounds us, your laughter echoes in our hearts, and we feel your presence in the quiet moments when we miss you most.
“I still don’t have the right words to respond to Jason and Jaden wanting to know if Daddy will fulfill his promise of taking them to a football academy.
They said, ‘Daddy told them he wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world.’ Then the littlest one, Jamon (J Papa, as daddy fondly called him), keeps asking when Daddy is bringing the big toy car he promised,” she shared.
Despite the heartache, Jennifer expressed deep gratitude to those who have supported her family over the past year.
“To our beloved, you didn’t just leave us—you left behind countless others who loved you and your work. Though you’re no longer here, you live on in every memory, every smile, and every tear. We will carry you with us always… until we meet again,” she added.
She ended her tribute with a message of faith: “We cannot question God, right? May your soul rest in perfect peace, my love.”
