The judiciary cannot shut me down – VeryDarkMan speaks on bench warrant for his arrest

He accused the court of attempting to silence him, stating that the judiciary cannot shut him down as he believes there is a conspiracy to silence him.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna granted the warrant, following VDM’s failure to appear in court after being summoned on March 5. The order directs the Nigeria Police Force and other law enforcement agencies to arrest the blogger and present him in court to face the charges.

VeryDarkMan, who is currently in China, expressed shock at the court issuing his arrest despite being aware of his absence from the country.

He accused the court and judges of being partisan in their judgment. According to him, the defamation case filed against him surprised him when the court ordered his arrest as he was unable to avail himself for court proceedings for the first time.

The activist questioned how Mercy Chinwo’s lawyer managed to have six cases in front of one magistrate in one day as he smells foul play.

VeryDarkMan added that he fears nobody and Nigeria must be better.
