One person killed in Bawku revenge assault

The shooting of two Level 400 students at the Gambaga College of Education in Gambaga on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, has resulted in a retaliatory attack that has killed one person.

While herding his livestock in the Sagabo-Zoogin enclave of the Bawku municipality, the deceased, a Sagabo native, was slain.

In an event thought to be connected to the current Bawku dispute, two students from the Gambaga College of Education were shot in the Gambaga township on Wednesday.

Attempts to establish an alternative chief in the region led to the outbreak of the Bawku crisis in November 2021.

There have been roughly 73 fatalities since the resurgence in October 2024, including women and children, according to a report by citinewsroom.com.
