AG nominates Sosu, 2 others to serve on General Legal Council

The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has nominated three individuals to serve on the General Legal Council in accordance with Section 1(2) of the Legal Profession Act, 1960.

This was contained in a statement dated February 28, 2025, and signed by Dr. Ayine.

“In accordance with Section 1(2) of the Legal Profession Act, 1960 and Paragraph 2(1) (d) of the First Schedule to the said Act, I write to nominate the following persons to the General Legal Council.

“Francis-Xavier Sosu, MP for Madina; Clara Beeri Kasser-Tee, Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law; and Dr. Abdul-Bassit Aziz Bamba, Senior Lecturer, University of Ghana”, it indicated.

It further stated,”His Excellency the President has been duly informed of the nomination of three persons named above.”
