Gender Ministry terminates contracts of school feeding coordinators

No official explanation was made for the abrupt end.

On March 4, 2025, Gender Minister Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey made the announcement and thanked the impacted coordinators for their service in a statement.

“Please be informed that the contracts of all Regional and Zonal Coordinators of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) are hereby terminated with immediate effect,” part of the statement read.

The impacted caterers have been directed to report to the GSFP Secretariat in order to obtain their termination letters and finish their handover procedures.

The GSFP has been one of Ghana’s most important social intervention policies which offers free meals to kids in an effort to improve nutrition, attendance, and enrollment.

It has, meanwhile, consistently encountered difficulties, such as unpaid caterer arrears, accusations of corruption, and funding delays.
