You can’t cover up verbal diarrhoea – Nana Aba slams foot soldiers over Annoh-Dompreh’s comments
Popular media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has dismissed attempts by netizens to label some controversial comments made by the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, as fake news.
Annoh-Dompreh has since faced backlash after he was filmed encouraging members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to defend their fellow party members in any confrontation with NDC members.
His statements sparked outrage, with some online users accusing him of inciting violence.
The situation escalated when some NPP supporters tried to label reports about his ‘controversial comments’ as false.
In response, Nana Aba shared a video of the MP making the speech, captioning it, “You can’t hide behind the ‘Fake News’ label to cover up verbal diarrhea. It was recorded!”
Prior to this, the media personality criticised Annoh-Dompreh and questioned his sense of reasoning.
“I don’t know what he sniffs, but it’s not pleasant!” she stated.
What prompted Annoh-Dompreh’s controversial comments
Addressing party supporters after visiting the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Ablekuma North constituency, Ekua Afriyie, Annoh-Dompreh warned that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would have no peace until the NPP is declared the winner of the constituency’s seat.
Annoh-Dompreh gave the Electoral Commission (EC) a seven-day deadline to declare the winner for the constituency, saying: “We are giving the EC one week; they must come and declare our candidate as the winner of the Ablekuma North election.”
In a video making the rounds online on Thursday, February 6, 2025, the Minority Chief Whip emphasised that failure to allow the re-collation process to proceed would result in continued demonstrations by the NPP.
He then urged NPP supporters to defend their fellow party members in any confrontation with NDC members.
“If you are a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and you come across a fellow party member fighting with a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), step in and help your fellow party member,” he stated.
