Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B took to social media on Monday to reveal she had gotten another piercing. But the body part she supposedly got pierced raised eyebrows among a section of her fans as they wondered if that was even possible.
“So I got my butt crack pierced,” she wrote on X alongside a face with hand over mouth emoji. The I Like It rapper’s unconventional piercing and revelation was met with mixed reactions from her fans, with one user seemingly daring her to show a photo of it.
“Photo or it didn’t happen,” the user replied to her post. Not backing down, Cardi B replied with a risque photo and wrote, “Do I lie?”
The 32-year-old rapper isn’t new to piercings. In 2023, she got a Monroe piercing and other piercings from the Los Angeles-based piercing artist, Pierced by Harrison, PEOPLE reported. The artist took to Instagram to share photos of the piercings.
“Cardi B came by the shop and got some piercings from me the other day!” the artist captioned. “We did an awesome Monroe piercing and some cool ear stuff as well. Thanks for the trust!”
But that wasn’t the end as she returned to the same artist in 2024 to get additional earrings. “I came in for one thing,” Cardi B said in a TikTok video. “Look what Harrison did!”
Besides the piercings, Cardi B also has multiple tattoos and has gone under the knife to enhance her appearance. In December 2024, the award-winning rapper took to Instagram Live to share her plastic surgery experience and also offer a word of caution to anyone looking at undergoing such a procedure, Face2Face Africa reported.
The rapper, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, urged her fans to do research before going under the knife for body enhancements. The Bodak Yellow rapper said she wanted to touch on that topic because “a lot of people thought as soon as I gave birth [to son Wave] I got my body done.
“In August I got surgery and I removed 95% of my biopolymers… if you don’t know what it is, it’s ass shots. It was a really crazy process,” she added. “All I’m going to say is that if you’re young, if you’re 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you’re too skinny, and you be like ‘OMG I don’t have enough fat to put in my ass,’ so you result to ass shots, DON’T!”
Cardi B’s comments about having surgery to remove a majority of her biopolymers came after she previously admitted to paying $800 in 2014 to receive illegal silicone shots in a basement.
“When it comes to BBLs [Brazilian Butt Lifts], if y’all want advice from me, before you get your BBL done you have to make sure your blood levels are all right,” she continued. “If a doctor says your blood levels are too low or you have diabetes or whatever, don’t do it.”
The WAP rapper also said she had also undergone a rhinoplasty procedure. She initially had her breasts enhanced when she worked as a strip club dancer, PEOPLE reported. She said that helped her forget about the insecurities she had about her breasts.
After giving birth to her daughter Kulture, Cardi B had another breast surgery and liposuction. She underwent those procedures in 2019.
