Meet the six women leading affairs at the Office of the Vice President
The newly-appointed staff are expected to bring their wealth of experiences and expertise to their respective roles and contribute significantly to the government’s agenda in developing the country.
Here are brief profiles of the six women appointed as staff of the vice president:
1. Alberta Graham
Graham will assume her new role as the Head of Administration at the Office of the Vice President. She is a Deputy Registrar and the Director at the Directorate of Consular and General Services (DLCGS).
She joined the University of Cape Coast’s administrative system in 1998 as a Senior Administrative Assistant and has worked as an administrator for the past 25 years, with 18 years as a professional administrator.
Alberta Yaa Graham holds a BA (Hons) degree in English and a Diploma in Education, both from the University of Cape Coast, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana.
She has served on various significant statutory boards and committees in her career.
2. Professor Theresah Ennin
The new Presidential Staffer and Special Aide to the Vice President is an associate professor at the University of Cape Coast.
Prof. Ennin earned her PhD in African Languages and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the USA, where she was a Fulbright Scholar.
She also holds a Master of Philosophy degree in English from the University of Cape Coast, which she completed in 2001, along with a Bachelor of Education from the same institution.
3. Daniella Mavis Mathias
Mathias is the Secretary to the Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
She was also a member of the National Democratic Congress’ Communications Team and played a key role in helping the party secure its decisive victory.
4. Mansa Amoa-Awuah
Mansa Amoa-Awuah is the founder of Saki Publicity, a full-service advertising agency that she has helmed for the last two decades.
She began her professional career as a Barrister in the United Kingdom in the 1980s, transitioning seamlessly from the 1990s into the world of marketing communications.
As a policy adviser on finance, she is expected to bring new and innovative ideas to improve the country’s financial landscape and provide guidance on how to enhance its appeal to investors.
5. Dr. Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu
The Social Development and Gender Specialist/Consultant holds a PhD in Public Health and an M.Phil in Sociology of Health from the University of Ghana-Legon, a B.A Integrated Development Studies from the University of Development Studies.
Dr. Iddrisu brings 16 years of experience, combining both academic and practical field knowledge in project management. Her expertise spans research, policy, advocacy, child rights, human rights, gender rights, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and development.
6. Maame Ama Pratt
Ama Pratt is the General Manager of Pan African TV. Ama Pratt boasts of expertise from previous roles at Zenith Bank Group, Ghana Commercial Bank, The Freedom Centre, and The Insight Newspaper.
Ama Pratt pursued law, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Law from the University of Buckingham.
She is an alumna of the University of Ghana, where she pursued a degree in English and Sociology.
In her new role as press secretary, she will be responsible for managing communication between the vice president and the public, ensuring that information is accurately conveyed.
