Ghana’s Parliament has approved Haruna Iddrisu, Kwame Governs Agbodza and Eric Opoku as sector ministers of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Roads and Highways, and Ministry of Food and Agriculture respectively.
The nominees appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday, January 20, 2025, to be vetted on their respective sectors.
The 11-member Appointments Committee, chaired by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor, was expected to thoroughly screen and scrutinize the nominees to determine their readiness and capabilities for their respective ministries.
The three were questioned about various parts of their sectors and the issues those sectors currently face.
