Nigerian international Ola Aina has become a transfer target for some of the top clubs in Europe following his excellent form with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old has attracted interest from top clubs, including Premier League title holders Manchester City and Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray.
Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AS Roma have joined the chase for the signature of the versatile defender, and the club has made initial contact with the player’s representatives.
Aina has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League this season, featuring in all 21 Premier League matches for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The Super Eagle has helped Forest climb up the Premier League table to third position, scoring two goals coupled with solid defensive performances.
Aina’s contract with Forest expires at the end of the season.
