Why I always transfer my salaries to my mother’s account – Hakimi speaks amid social media reports

Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi has confirmed that he transfers his salary to his mother’s account, highlighting the deep trust and bond he shares with her.

The PSG defender made headlines on social media after reports emerged that he had transferred his salary to his mother during a divorce, a move that meant his wife, who was reportedly seeking his money, did not receive a penny.

Speaking in an interview with abtalks, Hakimi opened up about the reports, sharing that his mother has managed his finances since the start of his career to help him remain financially disciplined.

“My mother has managed my money since the beginning of my career. She makes sure that I don’t spend too much. A mother is the only person who will love you, whether you are rich or poor,” he said.

The former Real Madrid defender also addressed how rape allegations against him caused him to lose trust in humanity while expressing appreciation for the justice system’s efforts to exonerate him.

“I filed a complaint when I knew it was an attempt at blackmail. The justice system handled the case well, and the truth will come out. This incident taught me not to trust those around me,” he added.

The 26-year-old has been with PSG since leaving Inter Milan in 2021 and has played over a hundred matches for the French champions.
