Watch as Memphis Depay plays street football with fans at Nima

Dutch player of Ghanaian descent, Memphis Depay, has been spotted at Nima, in Accra, playing football and training with some fans.

The Netherlands international joined the Ghanaians to train with them, despite the fact that they were doing so on a dusty field, just as a form of leisure or exercise.

The small field was surrounded by a large crowd of residents who wanted to catch a glimpse of the former Atletico Madrid forward’s footballing skills.

After the match, a member of Depay’s entourage took to the field to sing and entertain the crowd that had shown up to support the player.

Depay is back in Ghana for the festive season and has been having a good time in the country.

The former Barcelona forward, who now plies his trade in the Brazilian league, was earlier spotted at the Bukom Boxing Arena watching boxing bouts.

On Saturday, December 15, 2024, Memphis Depay, alongside some friends, held a polo event at the Accra Polo Club.

Depay’s allegiance to Ghana stems from his father, who is Ghanaian. The former Barcelona forward has been undertaking charity events in the country and visits regularly to monitor the progress of the projects.
