Charlotte Osei Left No Legacy Worth Remembering!
The dethroning of Charlotte Osei through legitimate means, a process that was triggered by some of her own subordinates, continues to pain the opposition NDC to the core.
Many an NDC party guru has not masked his or her aversion towards the excommunication of Charlotte Osei, and for that matter, latches on to any opportunity that presents itself to attack the government of the day.
Inusah Fuseini, on Newsfile, reincarnated this long and buried matter in the wake of that occultism-like logo Charlotte Osei unilaterally birthed which has since been deserted by the Jean Mensa-led Electoral Commission.
The NDC MP believes that this move to retire Charlotte Osei’s logo is a grand scheme being adopted to annihilate the former EC Chairperson’s legacy.
He was of the view that Charlotte Osei is simply hated by the New Patriotic Party, and that has been the enzyme responsible for this decision to rest her logo.
First of all, Charlotte Osei left no legacy worth emulating. She did not leave any legacy worth clapping for for which she was hounded out of office. She was confusion personified. Peace eluded Ghana’s Electoral Commission from the very day she was appointed to man the outfit.
She took decisions without recourse to laid down rules and regulations guiding and guarding the outfit. She elected herself as the modern day She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed as she lorded herself over her subordinates, a phenomenon that brought friction between her and the other commissioners.
Her No-Nonsense posturing was alien to Ghanaians as far as EC bosses were concerned. How can such a person be deemed to have left a legacy of some sort?
It is difficult associating oneself with the point made by Inusah Fuseini to the effect that Charlotte Osei is being hunted even after her ‘death’.
Inusah Fuseini has allowed his emotions to cloud his sense of judgement. Charlotte Osei’s noxious legacy must be ousted by the current EC leadership. To place an occultic symbol above Ghana’s Coat of Arms was something that ought not to have been countenanced.
