Black Stars goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and defender Alexander Djiku have joined the camp for Ghana’s upcoming game against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The duo, along with six other players, are among the second batch of arrivals, increasing the squad size in camp significantly after the first training session with 11 players.

The other six players who arrived with Djiku and Ati-Zigi are Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Ernest Nuamah, Majeed Ashimeru, Jerome Opoku, and Abdul Mumin, bringing the number of players in camp to 19.

A third and final batch of players are expected to arrive later today, October 8, or in the early hours of Wednesday.

The final arrivals will include four players: Michael Baidoo, Abu Francis, Jonas Adjetey, and Ibrahim Sadick, who have been handed a late call-up to replace Thomas Partey, Joseph Paintsil, Kingsley Schindler, and Ibrahim Osman, who have been ruled out due to injury.

The Black Stars will host their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium today as they continue preparations for the vital fixture.
