Elfsborg forward, Michael Baidoo, has earned his debut call-up to the Black Stars following a bright season in the Swedish League.
Baidoo is one of the four players who earned a late call-up to replace Thomas Partey, Joseph Painstil, Kingsley Schindler and Ibrahim Osman who have all pulled out of the Black Stars squad for the Sudan game.
The other three players, who are called alongside Baidoo, include Abu Francis, Jonas Adjetey, and Ibrahim Sadick.
Baidoo is the most in-form player among the quartet. He is flying in the Swedish league with 21-goal involvement in 34 games in all competitions. The forward has scored 14 goals and provided 7 assists this campaign.
The 25-year-old is an exciting forward who can play across all the forward line positions, including as a false 9.
He could make his international debut in the games against Sudan. Ghana will face Sudan in a doubleheader with the first leg slated for October 10 in Accra and the return leg on October 15, 2024, in Libya.
