Napoli director Giovanni Manna has confirmed that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will leave the club this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen’s future has caused a lot of speculations this summer, as there have been solid reports linking him with top clubs outside Italy. PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old striker, but none of them have been able to cut a deal with Napoli.
There were strong talks two weeks ago that Osimhen had agreed on personal terms with French kings PSG, but all that has gone cold because PSG are unwilling to meet Napoli’s heavy €130 million valuation.
With PSG struggling to pull the deal off, Arsenal and Chelsea, who seem to be the most serious teams could pounce.
Meanwhile, in a new development, per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Napoli’s director Giovanni Manna has confirmed that Osimhen will leave the club this summer.
“Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go,” Manna said per Fabrizio Romano.
“The situation is clear, there were already chances for his exit last summer. Victor wants to leave, we will see in the next 20 days”.
The transfer window ends at the end of August, and if Osimhen wants to leave, he has to make his move before then. Napoli are also under pressure to sell him so they can focus on their plans for next season. Thus, a transfer would happen soon.
