Sylvana Teiman

Sylvana Teiman, a first-year student at the University of Ghana Business School, has been announced as the winner of KPMG Ghana’s prestigious internal audit competition by KPMG. The contest, which received 41 entries from various universities, aimed to encourage innovative thinking in internal audit.

Sylvana’s essay on “The Future of Internal Audit: Embracing Innovation and Disruption” impressed the judges, securing her the first-place position. Her prize includes a coveted internship at KPMG Ghana’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services Unit.

Sylvana’s academic achievements and extracurricular activities are equally impressive. She graduated from St. Mary’s Senior High School as the best graduating student and was actively involved in peer education, teaching Financial Accounting, Elective Mathematics, and Core Mathematics. She also participated in the Capital Market Quiz and was a panelist on World Investors Day.

As a youth advocate for financial literacy, Teiman is a member of the Young Investors Network and Enactus-Legon, a social entrepreneurship community. Her internship experience with the African Regent Hotel has also equipped her with practical skills in accounting and hospitality management.

Congratulations to Sylvana Teiman on her well-deserved win!
