Ghana’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, was spotted at the National Theatre to witness the second premiere of Ghanaian actor Kyekyeku’s first-produced movie, “1957.”

Cladded in a black Lacoste with jeans and accompanied by a group of individuals, a video shared by Yaw Plug on TikTok captured Dampare’s entrance to the National Theatre on April 27, 2024.

IGP, attending the young actor’s movie premiere resulted in some social media users lauding his presence at the event.

Some described him as humble and were grateful to him for supporting the young Kumawood actor.

“What? The whole IGP. Bless you, sir. God really bless you, boss,

“Ghana’s best IGP. God bless you.”

“This man can be a good president of Ghana. He is result-oriented, and I love him for that.” These were how some netizens reacted upon seeing IGP at the event.

Meanwhile, other actors such as Nana Ama Mcbrown, Aka Ebenezer, Eddie Nartey, Kwappiah, and Funny Face’s baby mama, Vanessa Nicole, were at the National Theatre to support Kyekyeku.

Directed by 925, “1957” was first premiered on March 6, 2024, in Kumasi.

The movie featured well-known actors like Aka Ebenezer and Kalsuome Sinare.
