Detail reasons why Osimhen will join PSG in summer
Italian sports pundit Giovanni Scotto has named PSG as the club Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is likely to join when he leaves Napoli in the summer.
The Nigerian international has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly interested in his signature.
Despite Osimhen’s strong links to the EPL, Scotto believes that the 25-year-old is mostly likely to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The reigning African Footballer of the Year will be available for a fee believed to be around the region of €120 million following his contract extension with Napoli last November.
The Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulation poses a threat to Chelsea’s ambitions of landing the Super Eagles striker which leaves PSG as the clear favourite to sign the striker.
Osimhen has been tipped as a potential replacement for Frenchman Kylian Mbappe who is set to join Real Madrid in the summer.
“De Laurentiis was reassured, Osimhen’s 120 million will come, I believe from Paris Saint Germain. This money will compensate for the lost Champions League revenues and partially those from the Club World Cup,” he said, as reported by Area Napoli.
