Nigeria and Ghana are set to face each other in an international friendly on March 22 in Marrakech as both teams look to regroup following their respective disappointments at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.
The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced its squad for the upcoming match. The Super Eagles, who finished as runners-up in the tournament after a heartbreaking defeat to hosts Ivory Coast in the final, will be looking to bounce back and build momentum for future assignments. The NFF is yet to name a new coach after Portuguese trainer Jose Peseiro resigned.
Ghana, on the other hand, endured a disastrous campaign in the Africa Cup of Nations, exiting the tournament at the group stage with just two points from their three matches.
The Black Stars are also currently without a permanent head coach, but the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is expected to announce a new appointment ahead of the friendly against Nigeria.
