Accra, Ghana — On January 23, 2024, the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, led by Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, bestowed an honor upon Julius Malema, Leader and Founder of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), by presenting him with a specially crafted smock, locally known as “Afugu.”

Mr. Malema, in Ghana for a dialogue organized by Arise Save Ghana Now, expressed his excitement upon receiving the custom-made fugu adorned with the distinctive colors of the Economic Freedom Fighters.

Ambassador Salamu Amadu, who also serves as a Youth Ambassador for Peace and Development, highlighted that Mr. Malema is not only a political figure but a profound inspiration to the youth in Africa, including himself. The presentation is not just a gesture of appreciation but a symbol of admiration for Mr. Malema’s impact on the aspirations of the continent’s young population.

In a heartfelt acknowledgment during the presentation ceremony, Mr. Malema expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration among African nations.

He commended Ambassador Salamu Amadu and the Afro-Arab Group for their commitment to fostering a sense of pan-Africanism and solidarity.

The responsibility of presenting the customized fugu to Mr. Julius Malema fell upon Mr. Dickson Boadi, representing Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu.

Mr. Boadi took the opportunity to commend Mr. Malema for his commendable contributions to the African continent.
