MP ‘attacks’ Akufo-Addo for having fun in a club with women
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has taken President Akufo-Addo to the cleaners over a video that has surfaced online.
In the video, President Akufo-Addo is seen dancing in the company of some women at an unknown location.
Taking graceful steps, he dances to MzVee’s ‘Come and see my mother’, as others around him also exhibit their dancing skills.
The content of the video did not go down well with Dr. Apaak who wondered by the president could be having fun, in the face of the challenges Ghana is currently facing.
“Our president finds time to party in a club in these difficult times! Is this what he is borrowing for? See how NADAA dey bogie as Ghanaians dey suffer!”, the post on his wall read.
His comments follow remarks by President Akufo-Addo that his government will continue to borrow to ensure that projects are executed.
Speaking at an entrepreneurship forum organised by the Tony Elumelo Foundation in Nigeria, on Thursday, October 25, 2018, President Akufo-Addo stated that every country borrows, and for that reason, the decision isn’t an unusual one.
President Akufo-Addo’s statement was in response to a question from one of the participants who asked why he goes for loans from China despite his ‘Ghana Beyond Aid’ mantra.
