In total defiance of political party affiliations and tribal inclinations, constituents from Arochukwu local government area in Abia State, have called on their son and the Peoples Democractic Party Senatorial candidate for Abia north district of the state, Chief Mao Ohuabunwa to withdraw from the national assembly race, for the current Nigerian senate chief whip, and the Abia north senatorial standard-bearer of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Senator Orji uzor Kalu, ahead of the feburary 25 2023 presidential and national assembly elections in Nigeria federation.
The Abia constituents also thrown their weights behind the second term senatorial bid of the Chief Whip of the Nigerian senate and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Abia north district of the state in next month election, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
The constituents from Arochukwu local areas that cuts across different political party affiliations and divides, tribal leanings, and the electoral wards in Arochukwu state constituency.
The made their position known during the campaign tour of the Senate Chief whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, to Aro ward 1, Aro ward 2 and Ututu including other electoral wards that formed Arochukwu local government area.
The Arochukwu constituents further stated emphatically that senator Orji Kalu has demonstrated uncommon capacities, and recorded visible democratic leadership strides, mostly in the area of human empowerment and development, attraction and facilitation of building of massive road construction and rehabilitation, building of houses to indigent less-priviledged and widows and widowers, facilitation and attraction of federal government.
Continuing, the Abia north constituents of Arochukwu extraction also added that the former Abia governor has proven himself as a man with outstanding qualities, and good heart to the people of arochukwu area, and applauded the federal lawmaker for the visible and bountiful social infrastructural amenities he attracted in many local communities in the area.
His words: “We’re thankful to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who is the lawmaker representing us in the national assembly for numerous impactful projects he attracted in our local communities and as well as many other social human welfare developmental programs which has given every sections of Arochukwu, and the rest of others, an economic and Infrastructural facelifts which made the indigent Arochukwu citizens and the residents to continuedly thrive in their daily businesses.
Based on the laudable monumental strides of Senator Kalu, the Arochukwu constituents maintained that the federal lawmaker is the rightful candidate to be in the national assembly come this year and reiterated their call on Chief Hon Mao Ohuabunwa to immediately resign or face humiliation and disgrace at the polls on Saturday 25th of February 2023 by the Nigeria’s electoral commission.
While further rechoing the several calls by well meaning people and electorates on Ohuabunwa to honorably withdraw from the 2023 senatorial race, the indigent Abia electorates urged Ohuabunwa to desist from cheap propaganda, character assassination, name-calling and blackmails and to also abhors the Fighting with a trailer without a break.
Their statements: “Senator Kalu who has brought several development in their local government Arochukwu within a short-period of time at National assembly, which Mao ohuabunwa who is our brother and son couldn’t achieve for us during his four wasted years in the senate.
“We’re reassurimg Senator Kalu that we will come out enmasse this time to re-elect him based on his present laudable and monumental performances at the Senate”.
Appreciating them for their continued steady and unflinching supports since his assumption of office as the representative of Abia north Senatorial district in the upper legislative chamber of the Nigerian national assembly, Senator Orji Kalu reassured people of Arochukwu local government area of more bountiful and impactful dividends of democracy, and as well as impactful empowerment scheme programs that would enhance their respective livelihoods when re-elected come February 25 presidential and national assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
