Williams reveals why he wants to represent Spain over Ghana

Spanish born Ghanaian forward, Inaki Williams has reiterated that he will prefer representing the Spanish national team over Ghana.

The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for the Black Stars due to his impressive exploits in the Spanish La Liga.

According to him, the Black Stars coaching staff has contacted his parents over the possibility of wearing Ghana national team colours.

However, the Athletic Bilbao forward says he will prefer playing for the Spanish national due to the help they have offered him.

“My parents have met with the Ghana coaching staff and I have received calls.

“I don’t forget where my family came from but on a sporting level, it would be better to play for Spain.

“They’ve me given me everything,” he concluded.
