A newborn baby girl was found in a dustbin in Boscombe Place in Durban on Sunday.
Emer-G-Med paramedics said a homeless man made the shocking discovery and raised the alarm.
“We found a newborn baby girl in the dustbin, her umbilical cord and placenta still attached. She was treated and stabilised on [the] scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care. She is in a stable condition.”
Police are investigating the incident.
