VIDEO: My church will not pay any tax – Kumchacha to government

Founder and Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, says his church will not pay tax.

According to him, he doesn’t see the need to do so as his church doesn’t market any spiritual product to pay tax to the government.

He told Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty in an interview on Monday.

“We are not selling anything…; I don’t have anything I sell in my church so I can’t pay tax. There is no one-man church; it’s a negative statement [to say one-man church]. Every church is a one-man church since it has a founder…,” he said.

Kumchacha, however, added that his church as part of their corporate social responsibility donates items to the less-privileged in the society.

“We go to the prisons, hospitals and we give orphans food; we just don’t show it on social media…” he said.
