68th Independence Day: How some entertainment personalities are celebrating Ghana

On every 6th March, Ghana celebrates its Independence Day to mark the country’s liberation from colonial rule.

Amid the celebration, entertainment personalities such as actress Nana Ama McBrown, Sista Afia, Sarkodie, and Kalybos, among others, took to their social media pages to express their profound happiness and gratitude to the forefathers who shed their blood for the country.

Some netizens have also taken to social media to join in the celebration.

While some netizens express their deep happiness, others criticise the government and politicians for failing to develop the country after 68 years of independence.

This year’s Independence Day was on the theme “Reflect, Review, Reset.” The ceremony witnessed interesting events, including a display by the military.

President John Dramani Mahama, Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and several members of the diplomatic corps were present during the parade to observe the celebrations.
